Ty Lawson Gets Traded From Nuggets to Rockets!!!

Goodbye Denver Nuggets and hello Houston Rockets for guard Ty Lawson who got Traded From Nuggets to Rockets after the Denver Nuggets have reached agreement to trade Lawson.

CelebNMusic247.com just got word that Houston will send Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni, Joey Dorsey, Nick Johnson and a protected 2016 first-round draft pick to Denver for Ty Lawson.

Apparently Lawson is worth 4 Rocket players and a first-round draft pick. But on the flip side, the 4 Rocket players and a first-round draft pick are only worth 1 man, Ty Lawson and a 2017 second-round pick to Houston.

Denver is coming out smiling on this one.

YahooSports reports:

Denver’s plan is to turn the team over to rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, the seventh overall pick in the June NBA draft, and veteran guard Jameer Nelson.

After Lawson’s second DUI arrest in six months, market interest for him had been severely curbed, league sources said. Nevertheless, the Rockets have had a strong interest with him and were willing to take the risk of working to get Lawson the assistance he needs to become a top-level NBA point guard again. For the Nuggets, the 2016 first-round pick, Papanikolaou and Johnson deliver them back legitimate value on a deal for a player in a rehabilitation facility.

Lawson, 27, entered treatment for alcohol abuse last week after he was arrested on DUI charges in Los Angeles.

Lawson was the 18th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. He spent his first six seasons with the Nuggets and averaged 15.2 points and 9.6 assists – third-most in the league – in 2014-15.

Houston basically gave up they whole bench for Ty Lawson.

What do you think of the trade?
