That’s right, Wendy Williams went on a Save Twinkie campaign last year to save the only food that would survive until the end of time.
And now the Twinkies. Metropoulos & Co. is getting a comeback, so bankruptcy or World War Z‘s zombie apocalypse can’t hold them down.
Here’s the drop:
Metropoulos & Co., one of the two companies that purchased the rights to Twinkies and other Hostess snacks earlier in 2013, announced that the family-favorite snack will appear back on store shelves on July 15.
Don’t expect there to be any changes in Twinkies even though a new manufacturer is making them. Beyond the promise that this is “the sweetest comeback in the history of ever” on the new Twinkies box, both the price and the taste will remain the same.
“America wanted Hostess back — they wanted the original,” Metropoulos & Co. principal Daren Metropoulos says in the Twinkies announcement.
In addition to Twinkies, Hostess and Dolly Madison snacks like CupCakes, Donettes, Zingers, Ho Hos, Ding Dongs, Sno Balls, fruit pies and mini muffins will be sold in stores starting in the next few months.
