CelebNMusic247.com reports that The Weeknd, 30, Singer and Uncut Gems actor, took to his Instagram page to share the receipts of the donations he made on June 1.
Why The Weeknd Black Lives Matter movement is extremely important to him.
Abel Tesfaye, best known as The Weeknd had this to say about Black Lives Matter writing:
Keep supporting our brothers and sisters out there risking everything to push for actual change for our black lives. Urging everyone with big pockets to give and give big and if you have less please give what you can even if it’s a small amount. #blacklivesmatter (links in story)
He donated $200,0000 to Black Lives Matter Global Network, $200,000 to Colin Kaepernick‘s Know Your Rights campaign, and $100,000 to National Bail Out.
