Who knew that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s child wanted to follow Mariah Carey!
Well not so much like Mariah but Jaden is wanting to break free of his parents chains and at 14-year-old he wants to be emancipated.
Could this be coming from Will’s statement he said back in April about not punishing his kids…?
Will explained:
“We don’t do punishment. The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been — it has a little too much of a negative quality. So when they do things — and you know, Jaden, he’s done things — you can do anything you want as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life.”
Which now has led their son of 14 to be able to conduct a business or any other occupation on his or her own behalf or for their own account outside the influence of a parent or guardian.
Will Smith tells The Sun
“[Jaden] says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated.’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh.
“That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand.”
I’m sorry but what kid at 14 has the know how to conduct a business?
Could this be Jaden’s way of telling his father to pump the brakes? Or do you think this has something to do with Will making money off of his sons acting gigs?
Obviously Jaden wants full contractual capacity to conclude contract with regard to the business.
