(CelebNMusic247-News) T-Pain Says Future’s Music Sounds Horrible
T-Pain took somewhat of a step back from the music scene for the last few years, but the recording artist is focused on making his comeback to the Hip Hop scene.
T-Pain, born Faheem Rasheed Najm, has nothing good to say about today’s artist using Auto-Tune. For instance, Ciara‘s husband Future uses the device for his music, which keeps his music in heavy rotation on the urban radio stations. However, Pain states that artists like Future are not using Auto-Tune right and they actually sound horrible.
In a recent interview with XXL Magazine, T-Pain got candid and revealed his feelings on his contribution to music and just why these newer artists can’t do what he did with Auto-Tune.
Pain says:
“I changed music completely, so it is good to see that, but it’s terrible to see how horrible everybody sounds with it. I studied my craft, and I make sure I know how it works. I know where it comes from. I knew how Auto-Tune got invented. I studied the technology of it. Everything. Then I used it. But everybody else is slapping it on their voice and saying they got a smash.”
T-Pain has been very vocal about Future in past interviews and made it clear that he feels Future pretty much copied his whole style. in regards to his beef, T-Pain claims it goes deeper than that, because today’s artist are using Auto-Tune very poorly!
He explains:
“I want to get back [to] when people were actually moving in the club. You go overseas, they still play every godd*mn song from the ’90s. We come over here, just shoot a n*gga, and kill a n*gga. ‘F*ck this. F*ck that. I’m a dope boy.’ Godd*mn, dude! Not everybody [is] singing this sh*t.”
We are one to disagree with T-Pain on that note. He did have a distinctive sound and it just seems like everyone is just a poor knock off compared to T-Pain. Plus none of them have produced hits like he has.
