T.I. stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club where he discussed his new album, retirement and more.
Tip, born Clifford Harris discussed his favorite track on his upcoming album which drops in December is the called “Sorry”, saying that “It’s the dopest 3000 verse outside of an OutKast album ever.”
T.I. is gearing up to drop his latest album, Trouble Man, shortly and is ramping up the publicity stops to build some more buzz for the project. As usual, The Breakfast Club crew, were relentless with their questions and jokes, but they always get the answers we are looking for.

On retiring: “That was a very selfish decision of me to make simply because there were some things that I was unhappy with.”
On having career longevity: “There’s a difference between being hot and being huge. If you hot, your record will spin in the club for a minute, but when the entire body of work is released, how many people want to listen to your entirealbum? Does your catalog support a one-hour-long show?”
On his rumored beef with Future: “All the tension that was going on backstage never made it to me. I’m proud of theyoungster. He’s making a proper contribution to the uplifting of the city.”
On his tweet “Put your Maybach up”: “I wasn’t talking about nobody specifically. … If I’m dissing you, I’m doing other people too. I’m not dissing nobody.”
On his future at Atlantic Records: “I’m happy where I’m at if they’re happy to have me. I’d like to finish my career there if that’s possible, but that’s not up to me. That’s up to them.”

In August, T.I. shared that he has recorded a few with Usher and Trey songs as well. Although T.I. seems to be on a promising start to a solid project he said he has narrowed 124 songs down to 86, in which he elaborated he will continue to cut 10-12 records each week until he is down to 14-16 joints.
