Has the former Single Ladies star, Stacey Dash lost her mind or what, because she once again when in on a celebrity, but this one is Oprah Winfrey for comparing Trayvon Martin to hate crime victim Emmett Till.
Before we go into this, Oprah has a point and back in those days, Emmett Tills death was done by the KKK, but in today’s society, the KKK still walks among us all, so comparing Trayvon’s death to that of Emmett’s is a fair comparison.
Hate crimes of today are the crimes caused by profiling that steam from years of prejudice taught down from their elders, so if you think about it history is still repeating itself with slain youth, but not for a teenage boy looking at a white woman. Instead, African American teen boys are being profiled because of their skin color and assumption that they are thugs, hoods, etc…
We need to unlearn our past ways to regain our self respect and non-prejudice futures or killings like Trayvon will continue for no reason!

Martin was the black teenager who was shot and killed by Neighbourhood Watch volunteer George Zimmerman in Florida last year (12). Zimmerman was controversially acquitted of the youngster’s murder last month (Jul13), and the decision sparked a wave of protests across the U.S.
Emmett Till was a 14-year-old African-American boy who was murdered in Mississippi in 1955 after reportedly flirting with a white woman.
The Republican Clueless star took to her Twitter.com account on Friday (16Aug13) to slam the legendary Tv show host, while quoting civil rights activist Malcolm X and linking to a Fox News article that criticised Winfrey for making the comparison.
She writes:
This isn’t the first time Dash has made headlines for her comments on the social media site.
In April (13), she blasted Jay Z and Beyonce for taking a vacation to Cuba and during the Presidential election Stacey Dash voiced her backing for Mitt Romney, who ran against President Barack Obama.
In light of that comment, all we can think to say to Stacey is take your own advice! Be careful, gurl! This is NOT a fight you want! Oprah is NOT one to mess with!
