Word is, Chad Johnson could be facing up to a year in jail for head butting his wife Evelyn Lozada.
Remember this is NOT the first time Ochocinco has been in trouble foe domestic violence, before he made it in the NFL he was apparently convicted of domestic battery back in 2000 for slapping his then girlfriend after accusing her of cheating on him. It was also said that Johnson settled quietly out of court, not to ruin his NFL career.
Ocho has recently been having a rough time, he did a public apology, was heard to be begging for Evelyn’s forgiveness, was FIRED from the Miami Dolphins and heard to be losing his condo.
A Fort Lauderdale attorney tells Gossip Extra because of that prior conviction the Broward County State Attorney could bump Chad‘s current misdemeanor charge up to a felony and mandatory prison.
“Whether the previous incident happened in California or Florida, it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve seen it done with other suspects.”
