Seether Causes an UPROAR at Aftershock

Seether, who is currently on their “Isolate and Medicate” tour for their sixth album literally took over the stage at The Monster Energy Aftershock Fest.

The South African native band did NOT disappoint as they kicked off their set with “Gasoline,” followed by their own style of passionate and commanding rock music with hits like “Rise Above This,” “Words As Weapons,” “Fine Again,” “Broken,” “Tonight,” “Country Song.” Seether closed an incredible set with their mega hits”Fake It” and “Remedy.”

The  South African alternative metal/post-grunge band has come along way since they debuted in 1999. They continue to make great rock music and satisfy hungry fans who thirst for rock music.

Nirvana maybe gone, but thankfully Seether is still around to give us that grunge like style that rock needs.

They energy on stage was great as frontman Shaun Morgan [lead vocals, rhythm guitar] gave his blood sweat and rock music to fans. But Seether isn’t complete without its heavy hitting band mates Dale Stewart [bass, acoustic guitar, backing vocals] and John Humphrey on drums.

Seether was one of CelebNMusic247.com favorite bands to see at Aftershock this year.

Recently Morgan spoke with Reverb to talk about making Seether worthy music, he replied:

“I write songs I like to play and I like to hear and often to fill a void in a musical landscape that I find to be glaring. It’s fun to be a band that gets to write songs that are different than what’s on the radio right now. We try to stand out. We don’t want to sound like anybody else. That’s why I try not to listen to other rock bands or any other bands in our genre, because I want as much of what comes onto an album to come from our own inspiration and our own lives.”

Seether’s love for Nirvana comes through in all their music – here are some of the hard rocking videos to the songs they performed on stage at Aftershock:
