Love and Hip Hop star, Saigon takes to social media to confirm to his fans that he is making, which stars Omar Epps and Papoose!
According to Brian Daniel Carenard aka Saigon, he, Omar and Papoose are working on his mini-movie SP on the streets of New York.
In one post, Saigon appears next to Epps, who has starred in several films including Juice, and co-star Papoose, a fellow rapper-turned-actor.
Saigon says in the Instavid
“We on the set of my new movie starring Omar Epps, starring Papoose and myself.”
In another post, Saigon says:
“Fight scene with @omarepps on the set of my new film SP.. hard to do this scene with such a great actor like Omar… I can’t stop laughing when I’m supposed to be mad. I’m enjoying LIFE too much.”
Saigon is known in the underground hip hop scene, but thanks to his reality television debut in 2013 on Love & Hip Hop, a series based on rappers and their significant others, people are finally learning who he is. Saigon spoke about his decision to be on the program soon after his episodes began airing.
While working on the Mona Scott-Young and Vh1 reality TV series Saigon told to MTV:
“In my art, I’ve always exposed my life to people.”
“It’s almost like Eminem, for instance. When Eminem came out, we knew he didn’t like his baby’s mother. We knew he hated his mother. We knew his daughter’s name was Hailey. We knew so much about his personal life without him being on a reality show. His music was almost a reality show. That made us feel like we knew him more than had he just been a dope rapper. It kind of made you feel like, ‘I like this kid because I can almost identify with what he’s going through.’ I don’t have Interscope Records. I don’t have a major label. Me being independent, this is perfect for me because I’ve been putting my life out there. It’s just that nobody was listening.”
