Rings Gets April Fool’s Release!!!
Remember the Ring franchise? Well it’s been 10 years since The Ring 2 but now Paramount Pictures Rings Gets April Fool’s Release date.
Paramount Pictures originally had planned to release Rings on November 13th, 2015. However, CelebNMusic247.com first got word that Paramount Pictures has locked in April 1, 2016 as a new date.
Earlier this year it was RUMORED via Shock Till You Drop, that the character Aidan Keller (David Dorfman), the son of Naomi Watts’ character, Rachel Keller may be returning to the franchise . Remember David Dorfman had a mysterious link to the actions of the killer Samara. At this point in time, it is unknown if Dorfman will be coming back to reprise the role, though it is said that it will be an adult version of the character (presumably in his early 20s, going by Aidan’s age in the first movie).
Fast forward to now and this is what Bloody Disgusting is reporting:
Rings, directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez, is the latest sequel to The Ring, the U.S. remake of Hideo Nakata’s J-horror Ringu.
Johnny Galecki, best known as Leonard in “The Big Bang Theory,” stars in Rings.

Galecki will play Gabriel, a handsome, pleasure-seeking professor who mentors and helps boyfriend and girlfriend duo, Holt (Alex Roe) and Julia (Matilda Lutz). Scream 4‘s Aimee Teegarden rounds out the main cast.
It’s a direct sequel to The Ring 2, although there were plans on having it be part prequel, which didn’t come into fruition when the filmmakers were allegedly unable to lock down original star Naomi Watts.
The original cursed video will once again play as a device to Samara’s curse.
Are you looking forward to Rings?
