(CelebNMusic247-News) Rihanna Gets Real Tribal Ink
The Barbados beauty aka Rihanna is very into tattoo and other cultures, so while she was in New Zealand she got some new ink the true traditional Polynesian way by legendary tattooist Inia Taylor.
Rihanna is no stranger to pain having several tattoos already including a set of stars trailing from her neck down her back, a tribal print on her hand, a gun on her ribcage and Egyptian queen Nefertiti on her side.
Rihanna, 25, visited famous tattoo artist Inia Taylor at the Moko Ink studio in West Auckland earlier this week where she treated herself to the traditional Ta Moko tattoo but it wasn’t inked with the typical needle. Instead these types of tattoos are done with a hmmer and chisel.
OUCH?
A description on the studio’s website explaining the tribal print reads:
“Moko Ink is the worlds first Maori Tattoo Studio specialising in the contemporary use and creation of traditional Maori and Polynesian Tatu.”
“We make one off body art keeping alive the language and traditions that are unique to the art form. All our art is custom designed for each person on a consultation basis. The language of Ta Moko is used to design a unique piece of body art expressing aspects that relate to the wearer.”
