On Labor Day Weekend, the roar of motorcycles converged on the small town of Blue Lake, California. Everlast + Katy Segal headlined the event.

Other perfomances include; Juilan Dusseau’s Stunt Riders, Hellsapoppin Circus Sideshow and Mischief Labs Fire Sculptures.

The Redwood Run, a long time Northern Mendocino event, christened the Blue Lake Casino & Hotel’s brand-new outdoor amphitheater as both wild, biker party and charitable fundraiser. Read on to see coverage from the festival…

CelebNMusic247.com’s very own Chris Brody was in attendance to catch all the action at the Redwood Run at the Blue Lake Casino & Hotel’s brand-new outdoor amphitheater.

Blue Lake’s mild climate was the perfect backdrop for two days of music, bike games and entertainment. Chris tells us that the festival was a lot of fun. He was boosting to on the bands at the event like

What is The Redwood Run?

Emcee Burlyman brought his special brand of naughty to the event, keeping the crowd in stitches as he kicked off the weekend with games for both riders and patrons. Participants went head to head in the slow ride and keg roll, while others tested their skills during the crowd-favorite, Weenie Bite and many more.

The fun was just beginning as patrons headed to the asphalt for high flying aerial stunts performed by Julian Dusseau’s Motocross Stunt Riders joined by the rubber-burning antics of Unknown Industries’ on custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Back for it’s the second year, the Kickstand Lounge offered up the classic rock by local bands, Dog-Friendly, 707 Band, and Dead Man’s Tale along with a gospel service from CMA members during an intimate Sunday morning chapel.

The main stage kicked off with the jaw-dropping Hellzapoppin Circus & Sideshow Revue, followed by Husky Burnette and his slide guitar bringing the dirty, blues rock-n-roll he’s best known for. BOSS MAMA DJ RunDat kept the crowd moving between sets with her unique blend of classic and current rock. Saturday’s crowd was treated to Redwood Run favorites, the Fryed Brothers Band and Indian Motorcycle spokesperson and rap rock musician, Big B. The genre-bending culminated in both young and old garnering new experiences as Everlast closed out the night offering up fan-favorite, What Its Like, along with new material off his newly released record, Whitey Ford’s House of Pain.

Sunday’s musical lineup was no less impressive with local bands, JDom & the Band followed by The Hum Bros, bringing their own unique musical stylings to the Redwood Run audience. Country rap artist Demun Jones, formerly of the group Rehab, was a one-man surprise twist who garnered new fans amongst the audience while drawing the crowd in for headliner The Reluctant Apostles featuring Katey Sagal, best known for her roles on Married with Children and Sons of Anarchy. The Reluctant Apostles closed out the event with classic rock songs, folk and blues, including crowd-favorite, Son of a Preacher Man.

The daily grand finale was an extraordinary fire exhibit by Mischief Lab creator, Mark Switzer, bringing awareness to the recent devastation by wildfires and raising money for local charity Pay It Forward, while, simultaneously, entertaining and warming the awe-struck crowd on the beautiful, crisp evenings, bringing the summer to a close, Redwood Run-style.
