CelebnMusic247.com reports Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda was released from lockup Tuesday after serving seven years for conspiracy and weapons possession.

Bobby Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, was sprung from the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora in upstate New York at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

He will be on parole and under community supervision in Brooklyn until Feb. 23, 2026, officials said.

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty in connection with his membership in the GS9 gang of East Flatbush. He was arrested in 2014 outside a recording studio in Midtown and police found two guns and crack cocaine in the car he was in.

His uncle Garfield Pollard of Breinigsville, Pa. said:

He’s home, thank you for your interest…You can speak to him when his time is ready.

Shmurda happily reunited with his family.

The Brooklyn rapper will hopefully have learned his lesson. He took to social media with this photo with his family after seven years behind bars.
