Los Angeles punk rock icons John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom, DJ Bonebrake took to the Citi Stage and ignited the day portion of the festival.
Here’s a bit about the first L.A. punk band better known as X, who was the first to be taken seriously by the rock press on both coasts. X is a raw muisical expierence of raw, passionate, and powerful raw musical melding of punk’s speed and ferocity with the sounds of rockabilly, blues, country, and other roots music styles. The group still proves they have what it takes in punk as they rocked the BottleRock Napa Citi stage yesterday (May 9).
X’s off-kilter sound rings loud and lives on in music and the group is still as badass as they were when the formed in 1977.
