Puff Daddy Tops Forbes Money Makers
There’s a new top money maker according to Forbes and it’s Puff Daddy thanks to his recent venture into Revolt TV upping his wealth to $700 million.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Diddy, who recently changed his name back to Puffy Daddy, leads the pack with an estimated fortune of $700 million. It’s a total increase of $120 million over his net worth last year.
Last year, Puff Daddy added Revolt TV–the new, music-focused, multi-platform channel of which he’s the majority owner to his portfolio. Aside from Puff Daddy, there are other top rap moguls in the top five positions and Jay Z has been knocked down three spots.
1. Diddy $700 million
2. Dr. Dre $550 million
3. Jay Z $520 million
4. Birdman $160 million
5. 50 Cent $140 million
Diddy said in an interview when asked if he would become hip-hop’s first billionaire, he replied:
“I really can’t deny how humbling and how proud I am to be from Harlem, New York, be from the inner city and to be on the Forbes list.”
“I can’t deny that. But it doesn’t define me, if I become a billionaire or whatever the status is of what I’m worth. First of all, I do want to say to the Forbes cameras, I actually don’t, I want to tell you the truth. I actually don’t have that money in the bank, that’s saying how much I’m worth. So I don’t have that money in the bank. I want to make sure y’all are clear on that. I have no problem with saying that. If that pushes me down on the list, I’m okay with that.”
Just think, in 2013 Puff Daddy laughed off just how many zeros were in his bank account despite topping Forbes’ Cash Kings list almost yearly.
In other news, Puff Daddy has been requested to speak at the Howard University‘s upcoming commencement ceremony.
The successful music mogul and college dropout has cause some major backlash from the student population, since he was a dropped out of Howard.
It has left many of the students up in arms since Daddy was selected to speak at the school’s graduation. In fact, CelebNMusic247.com has learned many students believe he isn’t a worthy role model.
Diddy will be adding himself to the prestigious list of former speakers include Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, and Maya Angelou.
The rep adds:
“Howard University continues the tradition of identifying leaders whose work has clearly contributed to the advancement of their fields and the world … We are honored to have Mr. Combs serve as our speaker.”
