Production Strike Causes Shahs Of Sunset Push Back
No Way, there is trouble in Persian Paradise on Bravo since a Production Strike Causes Shahs Of Sunset Push Back!
CelebNMusic247.com previously reported that the Shahs was supposed to premiere on October 13th, but the postproduction crew for the show launched a demonstration in the streets of LA today after walking off the job.
The editing for the reality TV series is NOT complete and now we’ll NEVER know what happens to Reza Farahan‘s mustache this season. LOL!
No, really, all jokes aside, hear is what else we’ve learned.
Bravo has decided to push the premiere date for Shahs of Sunset to a later date,” a spokesperson for the network admitted. “The new airdate has yet to be determined.”
However, the 16 member crew has valid reason to strike! The veteran reality TV producers are seeking an IATSE contract which will provide them with health and pension benefits. They began by having the Motion Picture Editors Guild send a letter to Berne Productions Inc (a subsidiary of Ryan Seacrest Productions) requesting the contract. When they did not receive a reply they upped the ante by walking off set leaving the first two episodes unfinished!
Postproduction reportedly has a lot of work left to complete the season which has them motivated to negotiate. We have “every intention of engaging in a discussion as soon as possible,” Ryan Seacrest Productions’ spokesperson confirmed to Deadline.
Unfortunately negotiations haven’t resolved yet, so the crew has additional plans to picket tomorrow!
