Play It Forward!: Andy Summers, Jennifer Batten, Traci Gunns Rock

It was a night of great music at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa for the Play It Forward! benefit for California wildfire victims.

In attendance at the Play It Forward! charity event was Police guitarist Andy Summers and Andy Tracii Guns of L.A. Guns, one-time Michael Jackson touring guitarist Jennifer Batten, Points North and a variety of other respected musicians.

There were so many guitarists under one roof at the Play It Forward! charity event our head was spinning at all the talent in one room.

Here is the complete list of talent that hit the stage at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts on April 16:

Andy Summers – Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and member of the legendary trio, The Police was the headline act of the night.

Jennifer Batten, who delighted millions as Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist, and worked with the legendary Jeff Beck.

Andy Timmons, a world-renowned instrumental-guitar wizard and session guitarist.

Tracii Guns, founder of the seminal glam-metal band, L.A. Guns.

Mimi Fox, international jazz soloist, composer, arranger, and educator.

Gretchen Menn, guitarist for one of the world’s best Led Zeppelin tributes, Zepparella, and former Zepparella vocalist Noelle Doughty.

Points North consisting of guitarist Eric Barnett, bassist Uriah Duffy and drummer Kevin Aiello.

Josh Brough, the leader of the band Poor Man’s Whiskey wrote a special song about the fires.

Stimuli, an Oakland, California, power-rock trio.

The Trouble With Monkeys, San Francisco’s rocked-out tribute to the Monkees.

During the event Play It Forward auctioned off guitars autographed by Toto’s Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss and others.

Play It Forward was presented by Guitar Player magazine in efforts to help rebuild after the devastation of the October 2017 Northern California fires.
