The Brooklyn man was club promoter Michael Haver was attacked at the Greenhouse nightclub. Now police want to talk to University of South Carolina football players Victor Hampton and Kelcy Quarles. As for Haver, he was so badly beaten he require surgery.
Unfortunetly, University of South Carolina Gamecocks Victor Hampton and defensive lineman Kelcy Quarles, both standouts at the University of South Carolina, were at the Greenhouse nightclub on Friday when Michael Haver was attacked, police said.
Here is what we’ve also learned from NY Daily News who reports that Haver was in the VIP room of the Varick St. hotspot around 3 a.m. when a fight broke out, and got clocked in the mug by a man armed with a hookah water pipe, sources said.
The 28-year-old club promoter was felled by the force of the blow and then two other men began punching him and beating him so severely that he required surgery at Metropolitan Hospital Center to repair extensive facial injuries, the sources said.

Investigators are working to identify the men who beat Haver, officials said, and as of now detectives are seeking to question Hampton and Kelcy merely as potential witnesses.
Hampton, 22, a cornerback, and Quarles, a 22-year-old defensive tackle, were in the city for a draft-related ESPN photo shoot. They could not be reached immediately for comment. Both are expected to be chosen in either the second or third rounds of the draft, which begins on May 8.
The Chicago Bears are said to be especially interested in Quarles, who is 6-foot-3, weighs 297 pounds and is described on the official 2014 NFL Draft website as a “talented defensive tackle.”
