Rapper Nas has dropped the looming contempt charges against his ex-wife Kelis amid their ongoing custody battle.

CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Nas seems to have had a change of heart with his ex wife Kelis who has been nothing but drama since they split.

Nas DROPS Contempt Charges against Kelis, Why?

If you recall, in January, Nas accused Kelis of violating the custody agreement they have for nine-year-old son Knight.

Then, something happened, just days before a hearing on the matter was scheduled to take place, he filed a request for dismissal, according to The Blast.

Nas’ filing read back in January:

In or around December of 2018, Petitioner (Kelis) moved to Cartagena, Colombia and took the minor child without my consent. On Christmas, Petitioner informed me by text message that although her ‘plan’ had been to bring the minor child back to me in Los Angeles for New Year’s, the plan had changed. She then stated that the new plan was to come back on January 4, 2019.

Kelis had pleaded not guilty to the charges. As for Nas reason to drop the charges are unknown, but it could be his son needs his mom out of prison.

At the end of the day Nas did it for his son.
