Mystikal Avoids Trial + Settles $3 Million Tax DebtCelebNMusic247.com hs learned via TheBlast that Mystikal (born Michael Tyler) and the government notified a judge they have reached a deal to avoid going through with the upcoming trial.

Mystikal‘s filing notes via The Blast reads:

The parties have reached an agreement to settle the plaintiff’s cause of action against the defendant in its entirety, although the necessary documentation has not yet been accomplished. In addition to this Notice, the parties have informed both the Clerk’s Office and Chambers of this settlement.

Back in 2017, the government sued Mystikal accusing him of failing to pay $2.9 million in back taxes, penalties, and interest for 1997-2002, 2007, 2008 and 2011-2013. The site also reported that the rapper tried to blame his record label and team for not paying his taxes, saying he believed they handled it. He claimed to have only learned of his taxes not being handled in 2003.

Mystikal troubles are NOT over. He still has to face a judge in a separate criminal case accusing him of rape.  If you recall, he spent 18 months behind bars until finally being able to bond out for a bail set at $3 million.

He goes to trial later this year.
