CelebNMusic247.com has just gotten word that Birdman situation is taking precedence over Lil Wayne vs Universal Music Group.

If you recall, Lil Wayne filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against his former label & Universal Music Group for allegedly cheating him out of royalties.

Well obviously they’re NOT as concerned with Weezy and his claims to seek at least $40 million in damages over those royalties, which comes in part from his role in discovering and signing Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga.

Here is what we have learned via HNHH:

The entire lawsuit has been postponed.

According to various reports online, a federal court judge ruled that Weezy must first resolve his dispute with Birdman before his suit against UMG can move forward. They believe that the decision on the Birdman case will greatly affect this UMG lawsuit because of the two cases similarities.

Rumors online say that it could be up to a year before the case heads to court, which isn’t very good for Weezy.
