A judge has mapped out exactly how the money from Kevin Gates’ catalog sale gets divided — and more than $1 million of it is headed to Dreka.

Kevin Gates is going to watch a seven-figure slice of his own catalog money land in his ex-wife’s hands. According to court documents first reported by TMZ on Oct. 21 and reviewed by Complex, a judge has ordered that Dreka Gates receive $1,079,341.50 out of the proceeds from the sale of Gates’ music catalog.
The math breaks down like this: $929,341.50 is allocated to Dreka for child and spousal support, with a separate $150,000 paid directly to her. The money is not coming out of Gates’ pocket in cash — per the documents, the catalog-sale proceeds are paid to his company, Bread Winner Alumni LLC, and deposited into a Morgan Stanley account overseen by the company’s CFO, Robert Bracy, with certified public accountant William Duerksen as the only other authorized individual. Complex’s reading of the documents adds a pointed detail: Gates himself is not an authorized individual on the account holding his own catalog money.

Gates does get a share of the split. The order allocates him $538,798 up front, followed by $225,000 a month beginning in October 2026 — though the reporting does not specify how long those monthly distributions run. Another $328,000 is spoken for before either of them sees a dime: $125,000 for Dreka’s attorneys, $100,000 for her accountant, and $103,000 to JAMS, the mediation service involved in the case.
The order lands in the middle of one of hip-hop’s ugliest divorces. Dreka filed in Los Angeles in the summer of 2025, listing July 10, 2025 as the couple’s separation date and citing irreconcilable differences, per People. The two share two children, Islah, 12, and Khaza, 11, and Dreka asked for joint legal and physical custody, spousal support and attorney’s fees. In filings reported in October 2025, she alleged Gates stopped covering family expenses back in 2021 — property taxes and the children’s private school tuition among them — and said their Mississippi farm faced foreclosure. Those are allegations in her filings, not court findings.
Gates has fired back publicly. In January 2026 he accused Dreka and members of her family of repeatedly stealing from him during the marriage, and he has questioned whether the two were ever legally married at all. Dreka’s attorney, Marty Singer, rejected the accusations in a statement to TMZ, calling them “completely false and fabricated.”
The 247 Take — Catalog sales are supposed to be the victory lap — the moment a rapper cashes in years of work on his own terms. For Gates, the sale became a courtroom spreadsheet, with a judge, two financial gatekeepers and his ex-wife’s legal team all standing between him and the money. Whatever the final number on that catalog was, the headline from this divorce is control: right now, Kevin Gates doesn’t have it over his own.
