(CelebNMusic247-News) Glasses Malone interview revisited
Rick Ricci of CelebNMusic247 caught up with Glasses Malone not long ago to talk one on one about his new album Beach Cruiser and the trial and tribulations on finally getting the album out.
When speaking to Glasses Malone who put on a stellar performance at the Rhyme and Reason show at the Roxy in Hollywood, he told Rick Ricci:
Glasses Malone said:
Glasses Malone, born, told CelebNMusic247 that he wants people to come into his world of music and has no actual plans to do a bunch of collaborations or cross over tracks. Baby told his Cash Money artist that he is gangster rap and to this day has one of the best albums in hip-hop music. Glasses debut album is a vivid and a lyrically expressive LP that depicts thug life on the streets. G Malone explained how he stays true to his roots and his music. It may have taken a little more time for Beach Cruisers to hit the shelves, but I have to say it was worth the wait. Glasses Malone is an impressive lyricist and true artist.
While we chilled back stage upstairs at the Roxy, G Malone and myself basically shot the shit and spoke on his music, his influences in hip hop and the direction he planned to head towards. Glasses who already has 80% of his sophomore album completed is always working to perfect his music. He already has one of the dopest titles and he is not sure if it will be a double album or release separately.
I have to admit Glasses Malone is real cool, he’s so chill, his conversation was enlightening, and I admired his insight, views and intelligence on today and yesterdays music.
Glasses Malone was on tour with Mistah F.A.B., Potluck, J Homey and more… Nevertheless, Glasses Malone made the show. It was pure west coast rap, hip-hop thuggin and “Eastsidin,” which is just one of the great tracks on Beach Cruiser. The album has hits like, “Certified,” “Dope,” “Till Da Sun Come Up,” “I Get Doe,” and “No Symphony.” If you a West Coast Cali hip hop or a true gangster rap fan, then you need to have Beach Cruiser in your iTunes or CD for your deck. It’s a West Coast classic and trust me it you a thug, hustle on the streets or true to your game then Glasses Malone should be the music you bangin’.
CelebNMusic247 recommends the The Beach Cruiser album, it’s one of the best West Coast hip hop albums for 2011/2012.
