CelebnMusic247.com reports that multiplatinum songwriter J. Wright has been accused of killing his girlfriend on Mother’s Day.

According to reports, the incident is said to have taken place in Davenport, Iowa.

Iowa police responded to a call about a disturbance in a home when they found 20-year-old Wilanna Bibbs, J. Wright’s girlfriend, had been shot. She reportedly died from her injuries.

Police soon arrested J. Wright. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.

J. Wright is a multiplatinum songwriter and has worked with Omarion, Kash Doll, Timbaland, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and more.

Accoording to Local 4 News, the only station in the courtroom, heard Wright tell the judge “I’m not making anything right now.”

“All my belongings were stolen in November,” said Wright, who added he had been sleeping in hotels.

Further proceedings are set for Friday and May 20 in Scott County Court.
