(CelebNMusic247-News) Solange Tapped to Play Aaliyah in Biopic
For years there has been talk of an Aaliyah biopic set to made, with all kinds of names being tossed around to star as the legendary R&B singer who died way too soon.
And now that Aaliyah has rapper like Drake and Chris Brown trying to cash in on her illustrious voice rumors are swirling once again that her movie is being set in motion.
We personally love Aaliyah, she was a friend and we will always miss her. As for the rumor of her film being made, here is what’s being reported about the fallen angel.
According to Illseed at All Hip Hop, Beyonce’s sister, Solange was awarded the role earlier this week after she auditioned for the role of Aaliyah earlier in the month.
The unnamed project is rumored to be helmed by the same people who brought you “Think Like A Man.”
Do you think Solange will make a good Aaliyah on screen? Can Solange be a better actress than her older sister Beyonce who can’t act her way out of a paper bag?
We hope Solange rocks this role, because taking on the lead in any biopic film means you have to embrace the essence and embody Aaliyah’s full characteristics.
What we find interesting is who will be playing Christopher Malodado, Damon Dash, Eric Farrell, Fatima, Da Brat, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Ginuwine, 112, Jay Z, R. Kelly just to name the most important people that was in her life on a daily.
The movie has to have all those people in it, not to mention touching on her film roles in The Matrix: Reloaded and Queen of the Dammed – plus her documentary that she went on with her glam squad to London and her relationship with Damon Dash. And that final 48hrs on a small island in the Bahamas to film “Rock The Boat” when she and her friends boarded a private jet that was way to overloaded and had too many people in only to rush and be at a Miami party where she was too hook up with Dame before heading out to continue filming The Matrix.
Besides losing Aaliyah we lost some great talent and friends that evening.
We are crossing our fingers on this! Good luck Solange…
What do you think?
