Michel’le Calls Dr. Dre’s Apology A PR Stunt!!!

Since Straight Outta Compton has become one of the blockbuster summer hit of 2015, N.W.A. and Dr. Dre’s is back in the spotlight, but Michel’le Calls Dr. Dre’s Apology A PR Stunt.

Dr. Dre’s ex-fiancée Michel’le is now weighing in on the Straight Outta Compton producer saying that she  isn’t buying into the public apology he made recently to “the women I’ve hurt.”

CelebNMusic247.com has this report in regards to Michel’le, who is now speaking out about the violence that she endured by Dr. Dre, born Andre Young.  She was one of the women beaten by Dre in his earlier years while he was at Death Row Records.

Doesn’t it sound like Beats by Dre?

Anyways, Michel’le, who was with Dre for six-year and has a son by him, explains to the BBC:

“I don’t really think it’s a sincere apology.”

“I didn’t ask for a public apology, and I think if he is going to apologize, he should do it individually.”

She added:

“Treat us like we have names.”

Many women have publicly addressed the rapper’s alleged violence toward them over the years. Most recently Dee Barnes, a former radio host who says she was attacked by Dre in the ’90s, spoke out against that incident not being included in “Straight Outta Compton,” a biopic about Dre’s former rap group N.W.A.

We previously reported on Barnes detailing her beating by Dre  on the floor of the woman’s bathroom in a Los Angeles nightclub. The was a scene in the movies original script, but it was cut due to pace and run time.

Dre’s apology to the women he assaulted came after the film hit theaters, which you can read HERE…  But Michel’le calls his statement nothing more than “good PR at the moment.”

The R&B Divas: LA star goes on to say:

“He’s selling a movie.”

According to Michel’le, the alleged violence against her lasted five or six years and began to significantly affect her career.

She adds:

“I had to cover two or three black eyes for my videos.”

“One of the makeup ladies said, ‘You’ve got to stop letting him beat you.'”

She also detailed specific incidents of violence, including a time, she said, he beat her because she didn’t cook enough chicken.

She reveals:

“One night I baked him chicken and I didn’t make enough.”

“He beat me because I didn’t have another piece of chicken. It became that kind of relationship. I would move out for three or four months and come back. We just had a cycle.”

It’s been 24 years since her alleged abusive stint with Dr. Dre, but she still thinks about the alleged violence often.

“I don’t want this new generation to think that it’s OK.”

“I’ve never stopped talking about it. That’s what’s so funny about this coming up now.”
