Michael Strahan Confirms Part-Time Co-Host Gig on GMA
Earlier this week we reported that Michael Strahan revealed that he was set to join ABC’s Good Morning America and now he’s confirmed that he will be a part time co-host on GMA.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Michael Strahan will still remain on Live with Kelly and Michael he was reportedly nearing a deal with ABC to make regular appearances on the morning show.
Strahan told his Live co-host Kelly Ripa today (April 2) that the rumors have been blown out of proportion by the media.
“I went and had a meeting and talked about the possibility of doing something there.”
“And then [last night] I got out of the Captain America screening and I’m looking at my messages, next thing you know I’m on Good Morning America.”
The former NFL made it a point stressing that he is unsure if a deal will ultimately be reached, and that Live with Kelly and Michael is his top commitment.
He stressed:
“[ Live with Kelly and Michael] is what I do…This is me. This is my home, right here.”
However, Good Morning America‘s on-air team is currently undergoing an overhaul, with Josh Elliott leaving for NBC Sports and Lara Spencer signing a new ABC contract.
The former player for the NY Giants has confirmed that he will be a new co-host on “Good Morning America.”
