(CelebNMusic247-News) Metallica Coming to The Big Screen in 3D
Move over Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and One Direction, because metal rockers, Metallica will be coming to the big screen with their new 3D movie!
The film is entitled, Metallica Through the Never, and will be hitting every IMAX screen in North America for a week starting September 27th.
However, the full release of the movie has been pushed back from August 9th to October 4th.
Here’s the drop:
The metal greats filmed the movie last August over three shows in Vancouver. The concerts featured humongous pyrotechnics displays, a dozen floating coffins and “planned malfunctions,” and the band sold tickets for the third and final show for just $5 to benefit the Vancouver Food Bank. Through the Never will combine live footage of the band with a narrative arc following a fictional member of their crew, played by the actor Dane DeHaan, who’s sent on a mission during a concert. The movie seems sure to show a different side of Metallica than the tempestuous 2004 film Some Kind of Monster.
In addition to readying Metallica Through the Never for release, Metallica are preparing for their second Orion Music + More Festival, to be held this year on Detroit’s Belle Isle on June 8th and 9th. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bassnectar, the Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello and the Dropkick Murphys are among the acts scheduled to perform.
