Men In Black Getting 3 Part Movie Reboot!!!
Yes its true, Men In Black Getting 3 Part Movie Reboot, but this time there will be NO Will Smith attached to the project, well at this time.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned that Men in Black is returning with its own reboot, minus one major thing, Will Smith, you know the guy who makes MIB interesting and fun to watch.
Word is, Producer husband and wife Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald confirmed in an interview that Sony is working on the reboot. They are already working on a trilogy and assuming that MIB will be a HUGE hit.
That is great and all, but without Will Smith, Men In Black sounds like it might SUCK!
The Hollywood Reporter quoted Parkes, saying:
“We’re in the middle of it. It’s very active.”
while MacDonald confirmed that:
“It will be reinvented as a trilogy.”
Will Smith has been very vocal about not returning for more “Men in Black” movies, which Parkes confirmed, “Most likely no.”
It will be interesting to see how the story will be spun out with possibly new faces in the lead, though it could be a good time for a change seeing that the first movie came out in 1997, followed by a sequel in 2002 and another in 2012. Smith starred as Agent J alongside Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K in all three movies.
There have also been talks of a crossover with the “21 Jump Street” movie series, which starred Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. The plan has yet to be confirmed, however.
The last “Men in Black”, entitled “Men in Black 3”, collected USD 5.1 million in Malaysia and USD 4.2 million in Singapore, based on Box Office Mojo stats, contributing to its worldwide gross of over USD 624 million worldwide. – Yahoo News
