After one of the WORST red carpet coverages for Oscar, Giuliana Rancic got her news when fans of Fashion Police attacked her for her racist remark about Zendaya’s hairstyle. Giuliana also got her news that she is NO Joan Rivers and cannot deliver racy jokes like the legendary comedian.

Joan spent hours preparing before carpet coverage and her show, unlike Rancic who read of a telepromtor. Since the backlash, Rancic has apologized, but during the aftermath Fashion Police lost show favorite Sharon Osbourne.

A staff member of Fashion Police told TMZ that Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne’s battle at “Fashion Police” is tearing down everything Joan Rivers built.

Sources close to the production tell us producers fear the uproar over the Zendaya joke will cause Giuliana to be more silent on the show — because she’ll be worried about further backlash.

We’re told producers are worried the other show hosts will follow suit … and it will no longer be the sassy show full of sarcastic humor that it used to be. They also wish both women had chilled after the on air apology … because things would have blown over.

Now Joan’s daughter Melissa Rivers is now doing everything in her power behind the scenes to keep her mom’s legacy alive.

We feel Melissa Rivers should join the cast of the Fashion Police because we feel fans will embrace her and she can tell her moms style jokes, because she is just a witty.

On Friday Kelly Osbourne made an official announcement that she has quit the series and will NOT be returning.
