Megan Thee Stallion Wants $1 M + To Be Released From Carl Crawford!
Carl Crawford’s 1501 Certified Entertainment Label still has his grip on rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The “Her” rapper wants to be done with Crawford and put things behind her, but now she wants to get a check out of it. Get more details on Megan Thee Stallion and the Carl Crawford situation…
CelebnMusic247.com reports that Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) just raised her price, literally.
For the first time, the former First Lady of Carl Crawford‘s 1501 Certified Entertainment is reportedly asking for $1 million in damages, in addition to being completely released from the record label. The request comes following the release of her album Tramauzine on Friday, August 12, which reportedly finally fulfills the quota needed to be released.
According to Megan Thee Stallion and her attorneys, Tramauzine and Something for Thee Hotties, released in October 2021, “both constitute an ‘album’ as defined in the parties’ recording agreement,” and as a result, the OG hot girl has satisfied the requirements of her contract signed in 2018.
The rapper reportedly wants a minimum of $1 million in damages because 1501 allegedly has refused to give her share of the royalties from her music.
1501’s attorney Steven Zager has responded, noting that they haven’t decided yet whether it will challenge Traumazine as a full album under her contract.
Zager says:
We want to really analyze the new album. We don’t want to be unreasonable. I think she did that for the impact. I think at the end of the day, Megan owes 1501 lot more money that she claims 1501 owes her.
Megan Thee Stallion and 1501 Certified Entertainment have been engaged in a protracted court dispute since March 2020, following the Houston rapper’s public claims.
