Meet The Ladies Of Transcendent!!!

Fuse is bringing it this season with another new cutting edge series called Transcendent about the ladies of AsiaSF, a world-famous transgender cabaret club, but first Meet The Ladies Of Transcendent.

Transcendent takes you inside the lives of five transgender women who work at AsiaSF, a world-famous transgender cabaret club. Being a transgender woman with this group of ladies is a serious thing so never refer yourself as a “gay boy” like newbie LA, because Nya will let you have it. She explains that it’s insulting to the ladies because you are allowing the straight world make fun of transgender women.

Meet The Ladies Of Transcendent:

Bambiana is an outrageous flirt and born to be in the spotlight. Coming from a very supportive family, Bambiana has known since she was seven years old that she is transgender, and her mother secretly raised Bambiana as a girl in the privacy of their own home.

A hopeless romantic, Bambiana is afraid she won’t find love and thus approaches the dating scene cautiously. She is a vegan and a strong supporter of animal rights. She’s also a successful hairstylist who hopes to graduate from being a part-time performer and hostess to a full-fledged “Lady of AsiaSF.”

Bionka is strong, fearless and a highly sought-after makeup artist in San Francisco. Bionka has a supportive family and has known she is transgender since she was a young child.

Aware that she faces challenges not only as a transgender woman, but also as an African-American, Bionka is involved with the City of Refuge, an organization that helps transgender people of color. She is also an entertainer and is trained in modern dance.

She aspires to work in film and on Broadway, and would someday love to be a professional stylist.

LA is the youngest of the group and is just beginning her transition. Guided by her new friends – the ladies of AsiaSF – LA is

learning what to expect, both physically and emotionally, as she embarks on this journey.

And, while her new friends have become like family, LA is still faced with the prospect of telling her own

family about her transition. As the newest member of AsiaSF, LA is auditioning to be a performer at the club and is learning the ropes as quickly as she can. When she is not practicing her routines, LA can likely be found belting out Whitney Houston songs at a karaoke club.

Nya, one of AsiaSF’s hottest performers, has been working at the club since she was 19. She has always considered herself to be female, even as early as the age of three.

Although her family initially struggled to accept her, they are now very supportive, as was Nya’s best friend who stood by her when she made the decision to start high school as a woman.

Now Nya is currently seeking a position on the AsiaSF management team. Outside of the club, Nya loves to cook, is interested in fashion and is a fan of Project Runway. She is dating and is upfront about being a transgender woman.

Xristina was born in the Caribbean Islands and is a proud Dominican. She is also a natural beauty with absolute confidence in her femininity. Xristina knew from the age of four that she wasn’t like everyone else.

Her turning point came at 17 when her mom did her makeup for Halloween and told Xristina that she looked beautiful. That was the validation Xristina needed to kick-start her journey to becoming the woman she envisioned herself to be. Xristina is a long-time advocate for the transgender

community. She is also a member of the first-ever transgender choir known as “Transcendence Gospel Choir” and dreams of becoming a Hollywood star.
