Marvel Wants CREED’s Ryan Coogler For Black Panther!!!
Now that F. Gary Grey is onboard to helm Furious 8 and that Selma director Ava DuVernay passed, Marvel Wants CREED’s Ryan Coogler For Black Panther.
It’s a great opportunity to be in the top three choices of Marvel, to sign on to direct the upciming Black Panther movie as long as it’s NOT another Green Lantern fiasco or even worse another Fantastic Four disaster. The big question now is, “will Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station) say yes to directing the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie”?
It’s a HUGE step, but the movie has to be shoot in aways that all the films are done. Plus the director NEEDS to have a major understanding of the hero and the content and history of Black Panther. We don’t want another Queen of the Dammed where the director NEVER read the books and said hey, “I get it”, but he really didn’t.

CelebNMusic247.com has heard that Nothing is official about Marvel Wanting CREED director Ryan Coogler For Black Panther, so we have to wait.
In the meantime:
Ryan Coogler garnered great acclaim for Fruitvale Station, and by all accounts his Rocky spin-off, Creed, is something special too – so it was probably only a matter of time before one of the big superhero studios came a-callin’. According to Heroic Hollywood, that studio was Marvel, who wants Coogler to direct Chadwick Boseman in his solo Black Panther movie.
There’s no indication that Coogler is interested, however, and the site cautions that they’re not sure if an offer has even been made yet, but we’ll keep you updated. Marvel seems to have had some trouble locking a director down for this, so there could well be interest in other parties too.
The studio recently shifted the release date of Black Panther February 16th, 2018.
What do you think of Coogler directing Black Panther?
