Marvel Movie Update: Ant Man 2 Guardians 2 & Wonder Woman!!!

We have another Marvel Movie Update with new announcements for the upcoming Ant Man 2 Guardians 2 & Wonder Woman Marvel Movies.

We previously told you about Thor, Avengers and The Man of Steel in our Marvel Movie Update. Now we have more news on phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! back in July five new Marvel movies were announced, and in September we release the the Marvel Movie release dates for 2016.

Superhero movies are taking the box office by storm and with Marvel Studios leading with a game plan for the next five years with their Marvel Cinematic Universe, we will continue to update you on changes and news.

– Ant-Man 2 sequel announced:

Now that Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has officially reached its conclusion with the release of Marvel’s “Ant-Man,” we have new details on what to expect in Marvel Movies Phase 3.

With The announcement of “Ant-Man and the Wasp” follows the success of “Ant-Man,” which has earned $178.5M domestically and $231.5M internationally for a global total of $410M. It’s the #9 film of the year domestically, and opens in its final international market, China, on October 16.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man,” we have new details on what to expect in Phase 3!

Following our hero’s debut adventure in this summer’s “Ant-Man,” Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018 with Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.

Additionally, Ant-Man’s second adventure will lead to a couple of other films shifting their dates.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.

– Benicio Del Toro will be returnsing as The Collector in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Thanks to a post left by Guardians star Zoe Saldana we got this heads up:

Guardians Of The Galaxy was a surprise smash hit with the fans, critics and the box office. With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 on the way, we’ve already learned that all the primary cast are returning, including Yondu (played by Michael Rooker) and Nebula (played by Karen Gillan), and now it seems another supporting character is returning as well. In a spontaneous social media video review that Gamora actress Zoe Saldana posted about the movie Sicario, Saldana praised actor Benicio del Toro’s performance and ended the video with “I’ll see you on Guardians”.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 will hit the big screen on May 5, 2017.

– Wonder Woman movie in different time periods:

When it comes to the first stand alone Wonder Woman movie is currently scheduled to hit theatres on June 23rd 2017 but little has been known about the story of the film up to this point. However, we may now know WHEN the story will be taking place. The site Den Of Geeks now claims to have a source inside the production of the film who tells the the movie will take place in 3 different time periods.

The article says the following:

“The first setting will be Themyscira, the idyllic island Wonder Woman has called home since her adventures began in the 1940s. The second period is World War I – the specific year we’ve been given is 1916, which places it right in the middle of that conflict. The movie will then move to the modern day, where it will tie into the events of Justice League Part One.”

Wonder Woman releases in theaters on June 23, 2017.
