(CelebNMusic247-News) Lady Gaga SLAMS Her Glamour Magazine Cover
Talk about self loathing? Lady Gaga apparently HATES her own Glamour magazine cover at the annual Woman of the Year Awards!
Receiving an award from Glamour magazine at the annual Woman of the Year Awards on Monday, Lady Gaga took the stage opportunity to air her grievances about body issues and photoshopping celebrities — and even used her cover photo for the sponsoring magazine’s December issue as an example.
Here’s what Gaga had to say to the Huffington Post:
“I felt my skin looked too perfect.”
“I felt my hair looked too soft. … I do not look like this when I wake up in the morning.”
“What I want to see is the change on your covers.”
Gaga, 27, has been the topic of discussion regarding magazine covers in the past. A September 2012 Vogue magazine cover garnered plenty of backlash for obviously slimming the “Artpop” star at a time when she was known to have gained a little weight.
Gaga adds:
“When the covers change, that’s when culture changes.”
The “Applause” singer also used her platform at the celebration — which honored others like Pakistani icon Malala Yousafzai and Hillary Clinton — to urge girls to “fight back against the forces that say you have to be beautiful.”
