CelebnMusic247.com reports that Tallahassee police say that the vehicle was following him and his entourage before opening fire.
What We’ve Learned:
Kodak was in Tallahassee to headline at the Cultur3Fest, and his entourage were leaving Baja’s Beach Club on Pensacola Street when they were followed by several vehicles. The vehicles then attempted to cut them off before opening fire. The security guard was shot in the leg.
The security guard was then rushed to the hospital while Kodak was rushed away in a separate armored vehicle.
McDonald’s owner Raphael Vazquez wrote via the Tallahassee Democrat:
We are aware of the incident that happened on the street in front of our restaurant. Our biggest priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers. We are fully cooperating with the Tallahassee Police Department, who will provide all updates on this investigation.
Recently, the rapper hopped on Instagram Live and addressed the gunfire of which he was reportedly the intended target.
Black speaks on the shooting:
