(CelebNMusic247-News) King L Hit with Lawsuit For Plotting Beatdown
Streets is talking and apparently Chicago rapper King L (aka King Louie) has been slapped with a lawsuit by a woman who claims he hired another female to assault her.
The female victim also claims that he recorded the whole beat down and then posted it on YouTube.
Here’s the Drop:
According to Courthouse News, the victim, Jazmine Berry, recently filed a lawsuit in Cook County Court against the rhymer, born Louis Johnson, and his alleged accomplice, Josephine Conley, for the attack.
According to the suit, Berry claims that she was viciously assaulted by Conley after King L invited her to his home for breakfast. “Defendant Johnson and Ms. Berry had been friends for some time,” reads the suit.
The alleged incident took place at the back porch of the rapper’s home where Conley was waiting for her.
“Defendant Conley falsely accused Ms. Berry of stealing a pair of ‘Marc Jacobs’ sunglasses from defendant Johnson,” the suit further states. “During this attack, defendant Conley repeatedly punched and beat Ms. Berry about the head and face, pulled her hair, grabbed her by the neck, and threw her to the floor of the porch of defendant Johnson’s home.”
King L was allegedly recording the entire beat down while other witnesses at the location laughed and egged on the attack. “Ms. Berry pleaded with defendant Johnson, asking him why he was doing this to her. Defendant Johnson continued filming the attack and continued laughing,” the suit alleges.
Berry claims the video was posted on YouTube, which was viewed over 9,000 times, and on Twitter with the hashtag #marcjacobsbandit.
“On information and belief, defendant Johnson intended to video record the battery to promote himself as a rap artist and for economic gain,” Berry claims in her lawsuit.
Ms. Berry is seeking over $1 million in damages for battery, conspiracy, emotional distress and defamation.
King L’s attorney had no comment on the matter.
