In the upcoming comedy Get Hard, Will Ferrell plays James King, a wealthy tycoon sentenced to hard time in San Quentin for fraud. In order to prepare for life inside one of the most fearsome prisons on the planet, he naturally turns to…Kevin Hart?
Hart plays Darnell, a local car washer who Ferrell’s character mistakenly believes is an ex-con. “I wrongly assume he has a criminal record. And before he punches me in the face for that, I offer him too much money to say no,” Ferrell recently told USA Today. “Darnell is pretending to be a thug so he can help his family to a better life.”
The new Get Hard trailer will debut this Tuesday (on Yahoo), Nov. 25, at 4:30 p.m. PT/ 7:30 p.m. ET.
