Kevin Gates Stays Firm On His Black Lives Matter Comments

Kevin Gates Stays Firm On His Black Lives Matter Comments!

Rapper Kevin Gates has addressed the comments he made towards the Black Lives Matter movement in the past, and it doesn’t look like he’s changing his stance…

CelebnMusic247.com reports that during a new interview with Akademiks on his Off The Record podcast, Kevin Gates reflected on the comments he made about the Black Lives Matter movement.

Gates revealed during the interview that he doesn’t see color. He felt that way because of all the slack he gets online from Black people, and it doesn’t make him even want to feel a part of the culture.

Gates told Akademiks:

They got mad when I said ‘I don’t support Black Lives Matter’ ’cause who they matter to…We kill each other all day. We talk about each other all day. You know who talk about me the most on the internet? N-ggas. N-ggas. You know what’s worse than a n-gga? Two of them.

He added:

Make you don’t want to be a n-gga. It be n-ggas my own people that look like me. Talk about me like a dog, kick me when I’m down. I don’t look at color and see race no more. I see real and fake. That’s it.

Kevin Gates spoke on the BLM movement on two prior separate occasions. The first time happened in 2016 when he hopped on Instagram and posted a minute-long diatribe on why it didn’t make any sense to complain about social injustices against Black people because of Black-on-Black crime.

Gates said:

We kill each other…I’m talking about we lay up under each other’s cars, lay behind each other’s houses then whip by, boom boom, kill everybody in the car…We kill each other, but as soon as a white boy kills one of us, everybody go to hoopin’ and hollerin’ and all that old stupid-ass shit … That’s bullshit.

He continued:

When you stand for something, you’ve got to stand for it all the way, not half way. I said it before, and I’ll say it again, and fuck who don’t like that. You know what’s worse than a n-gga? Another one.

Kevin Gates even went as far as agreeing with Stacey Dash’s controversial comments about getting rid of BET during an interview he had with 106KMEL.

Gate said at the time:

They were like, ‘Stacey Dash said that it shouldn’t be no BET. Everybody should be Americans.’ And I was like, ‘If she said that, then I feel like I agree with that because there’s only two types of people in life: real people and fake people.’

If you think about BET – the channel does nothing for the black community except dummy down black youth and influence them to be materialistic. BET should do better for black Americans.

What do you think about Gates stance on the BLM movement?
