Mr. West can be seen in the September 14 issue of The New Yorker features an illustration of Kanye on its cover. CelebNMusic247.com has gotten word via The Boombox, is the first time a rapper has ever graced the cover of the prestigious magazine.

Here are the details:

On the humorous cover, a watercolor’d Kanye celebrates his presidential victory over Donald Trump, holding up a “TRUMP DEFEATS KANYE” newspaper headline at a ticker tape parade, mimicking the famous photo of Harry Truman holding up erroneous Chicago Tribune headline “DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN” after he upset Thomas Dewey in the 1948 election.

Barry Blitt, the illustrator behind Donald Trump’s recent appearance on The New Yorker cover, titled his Kanye portrait “2020 Vision.”

“When one considers Mr. West,” Blitt explained, “it doesn’t take a whole lot of imagination to be reminded of another scrappy kid who won the Presidency, back in 1948, against all odds. The press wrote him off, too. That’s right—Harry Truman.”

Congrats Kanye.
