(CelebNMusic247-News) Kanye Stuggling to Find ‘Consumer Friendly’ Singles
Despite Kanye West meeting Kim‘s family and having a baby this summer in July, he is hoping to make controversial waves a few weeks before with his new album Yeezus.
‘Yeezus’ is set to be the follow-up to West’s critically acclaimed 2010 album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,’ according to Billboard.
The no holds bar fashion forward and outspoken rapper is trying to keep his prolific edge with Yeezus the only problem is that its being reported that he is struggling to find ‘Consumer Friendly’ singles since “New Slaves” and “Black Skinhead” have received mixed reviews. This week Ye put a stop to the pre-sale of his album and now his camp are a little concerned that the songs don’t have what it takes to be hits. And now rumors claim he’s curently working on a couple new tracks so his forth coming album is NOT hit-less…
Here’s the drop according to The New York Post:
Kanye West’s new album “Yeezus” is due out June 18, but he’s still in the studio putting the final touches on the track list. Chatter among music insiders is the rapper’s scrambling to add some consumer–friendly singles to the album. The aggressive tracks he performed on “SNL,” including “New Slaves” and “Black Skinhead” received mixed reviews. But an insider tells us that West’s reworking so close to the release date is “not in any response to any negative reaction.”
Word is, Ye wants Yeezus to be that monumental album that puts him in the history books, he is struggling to find a happy medium trying to find ‘Consumer Friendly’ singles. Apparently those who have had a first listen to his upcoming album claim most of it is just Kanye screaming passionately over tracks, while Kanye’s camp claim it will be his most political and raw album to date.
Looks like we’ll be able to judge for ourselves on June 18.
And rumor has it that this may be the possible alternative cover to Yeezus. and yes, it’scausing a lot of controversy:
