Joey King & Brent Spiner Join Independence Day 2!!!
“White House Down” star Joey King & Brent Spiner Join Independence Day 2, well Spiner is apparently resurrected again in the sequel since he died in Independence Day.
Don’t you love Hollywood, when you’re a character in a movie, you never know when they kill you, they might write you back in like Brent Spiner who was killed by an alien in area 51, or so you thought.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned via E!News that the upcoming sequel of Independence Day has added two more notable stars to their cast, but that’s not exactly what has everyone talking.

Word is, Director Roland Emmerich recently made an announcement:
“This just in… [Joey King] and [Brent Spiner] officially signed for #IndependenceDay – Welcome aboard!”
Star Trek: The Next Generation star Spiner originally appeared in the film as Dr. Brackish Okun, the chief scientist at the top-secret extra-terrestrial research facility located in Area 51. For those of you who don’t recall, Dr. Okun seemed to die after being offed by an alien by the end of the action-packed flick.
Fans were obviously confused by his character’s alleged resurrection. When Spiner took note of their dismay about his character being dead, he cryptically replied:
“Ummmm, is he?”
King recently starred in Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here and took to Twitter to proclaim her joy about landing the coveted role.
“So freaking excited to officially be part of #IndependenceDay2. Can’t wait to work with my favorite @rolandemmerich again. Gonna be a blast.”
To give us some consolation for all of our unanswered questions—Emmerson did give us some juicy details during an interview with Entertainment Weekly:
“The humans knew that one day the aliens would come back. And they know that the only way you can really travel in space is through wormholes. So for the aliens, it could take two or three weeks, but for us that’s 20 or 25 years.”
Jeff Goldblum and Vivica A. Fox have also signed on alongside Jessie A. Usher, Liam Hemsworth and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Independence Day 2 is currently set for release on June 24, 2016.
