(CelebNMusic247-News) Jets Player Arrested:
New York Jets running back Mike Goodson was arrested on gun and drug charges in New Jersey early Friday.
The 25-year-old Goodson was reportedly the passenger in a GMC Yukon that was stopped in the left-center lane on I-80 in Denville just after 3 a.m. A tow truck driver called police when he arrived and saw the condition of the two men.
Goodson, from Spring, Texas, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a loaded gun and possession of hollow point round.
The driver, identified as 31-year-old Garant Evans, was arrested and faces the same charges, with additional charges including DWI, various traffic summonses and possession of a weapon with prior felony conviction.
Goodson was taken to St. Claire’s hospital because of the condition he was in and was then sent to state police to be processed after he was released.
Goodson’s bail was set at $50,000. Evans is being held on $150,000.
