Jeezy Posts Bail For Firearms Charge
Last Sunday rapper Young Jeezy was arrested outside the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA and slapped with a $1 million bond after an investigation into a murder backstage at the Under the Influence Tour.
CelebNMusic247.com previously reported on Jeezy’s arrest, but now the ATL rapper has posted bail and also paid the bails of five people arrested along with him after officers found an assault rifle on Jeezy’s tour bus and nobody copped to ownership.
As for Jeezy, he has pleaded not guilty to illegal possession of an assault weapon and so far no charges have been filed in the shooting death of 38-year-old Eric Johnson, who had been promoting an Under the Influence after-party at a local club the night he was killed backstage.
A spokesperson for the Orange County district attorney told the Associated Press that the “Seen It All” rapper entered his plea Tuesday, according BET.
Jeezy’s next hearing date is scheduled for September 5.
