James Rebhorn Dead at 65
Character actor James Rebhorn, best known for his roles in Independence Day and Scent of a Woman has died at age 65.
He has played in many films as a supporting actor in role like The Game as Jim Feingold, The Talented Mr Ripley as shipping magnate Herbert Greenleaf and Meet the Parents as Dr Larry Banks.
CelebNMusic247.com has learned that the 65-year-old actor died in his home on Friday. We have also found out that he passed away from cancer. His wife Rebecca revealed that the actor was diagnosed with melanoma in 1992 … and he’s been getting treatments ever since.
We’re told his condition drastically worsened recently and he began receiving hospice care at his New Jersey home.
His agent Dianne Busch confirmed his passing to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 65. The busy character actor was also known as the father of Claire Danes‘ troubled CIA officer Carrie Mathison on the Showtime drama Homeland.
