“A lot of directors are throwing their hats in. We’re starting the meetings. We’re going to do it.”
We just hope with Reitman still a part of the film process, he can help to find a director who feels is worth, sinces he pulled out of the directors seat for Ghostbusters 3.
Either way, we excited for the movie to finally get made!
Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson was at the Draft Day event, as well. Ernie spoke on the loss of his of co-star Harold Ramis and how it could affect the franchise.
Ernie confessed:
“Unfortunately Harold [Ramis] is not with us anymore. But it’s going to happen. It’s going to be really, really good, which is why it’s taken so long… The fans have been amazing. Without any studio support, they make their outfits and cars and Ectomobiles. I was in Brussels, and about 50 guys showed up with their Ghostbuster outfits on. In every state in the country, there are Ghostbuster chapters. It’s cool. It’s nice to be a part of.”
We hope that the film will still pay homage to Harold is some format. In regrads to Bill Murray‘s potential involvement in GB3, Reitman revealed that it’s up in the air right now.
He explained:
“There will be many people from the original cast. You’re really asking about Bill Murray, and I have no idea. All the other movies I made with Bill, he never told me he was doing it until … well, the longest was two weeks. Meatballs, he told me he was doing it the day before.”
Com’on Bill, the movie NEEDS you, The fans LOVE you, and we WANT you, because the FILM is nothing WITHOUT YOU!
We just hope that everyone finally comes together and makes a great final film for Harold.
