Reports about Lorenzo’s condition began circulating on social media earlier this week. Apparently, Irv suffered another stroke and was placed on life support. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed his passing, however, the outlet did not specify his cause of death. His family also did not confirm exactly how he died in their statement.
Artists who knew the Murder, Inc. Records co-founder including Ja Rule, Vita, Caddillac Tah, Kxng Crooked, Ye and Jamie Foxx took to social media to mourn his loss shortly after the news broke. Ja, who came up under Murder, Inc., posted a photo of him and Irv together and wrote, “Love you… ??.”
