Phylicia Rashad’s public support of Bill Cosby; Howard University condemns her support in a statement!

On Wednesday, the world was shocked when news broke that Bill Cosby was being released from prison after only serving two years of his ten-year sentence.

Attorney Gloria Allred, an attorney who represents several of the so-called “prior bad acts” witnesses who testified against Bill Cosby, said, “Mr. Cosby is not home free.”

In Addition to Allred, Cosby’s accuser Lise-Lotte Lublin weighed in on his sentence being overturned by a technicality.

Not to mention, following his release, Cosby took to social media to proclaim his innocence.

Well, it didn’t stop there, CelebnMusic247.com reports Phylicia Rashad celebrated the release of her The Cosby Show co-star, Bill Cosby after his conviction was overturned criticized.

Bill Cosby was imprisoned after being found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004. However, he was also accused of doing the same to dozens of women throughout the past few decades.

Following the news of Bill Cosby‘s release, Phylicia Rashad tweeted:

FINALLY!!!! A terrible wrong is being righted–a miscarriage of justice is corrected!

Howard University was one of the only colleges that did not rescind Bill Cosby’s honorary degree status. However, many colleges did rescind his degree following the charges and sentencing in 2018.

“Confirming, Mr. Cosby is still an honorary degree holder at Howard University.” — Howard University Statement from May 2018

They may not have rescinded Cosby’s honorary degree, they do feel for the victims of sexual abuse. And they didn’t like Rashad’s support for Cosby:

Where do you stand on Bill Cosby being released from prison?
