Pras and Jho Low are being investigated by the Justice Department for the fraudulent activity behind 1MDB.

The pair are also accused of illegally lobbying to have Chinese dissident billionaire Guo Wengui returned to China.

They allegedly conspired with Nickie Lum Davis and Elliot Broidy, a former GOP fundraiser who was pardoned by Trump, to obstruct a federal probe into the $6 billion bribery and money-laundering scandal surrounding 1MDB. Pras is additionally charged with is also charged with witness tampering and conspiracy to make false statements to banks.

If convicted, Pras faces a range of maximum penalties from five to 20 years in prison, per count. If convicted, Low faces a maximum penalty of five to 10 years in prison, per count.
